Ever meet a bride (or maybe you are one) who has no say-so about her own wedding.  The mom is running the show. Telling her what is allowed and what is acceptable and who she should hire and how she should act.  It’s pitiful!

But…I suppose it has always been that way in their relationship.

Sooner or later these brides are going to have to leave the nest and fend for themselves. Seems to me that a wedding should be the time and place to make a clean break.

If mom and dad are footing the entire bill, don’t complain. You asked for it!

On the flip side…whose wedding is it? Ease up a little and let your daughter spread her wings.  Even if you think she’s marrying a loser.

Congrats….You’re getting married!!  So much to do. So much planning.

First thing brides do is gaze in awe at magazines and websites.

So many pretty pictures of gowns, beautiful venues, gorgeous cakes, dazzling flowers, sumptious feasts, awesome limos.  The list goes on for brides to choose the right vendors.

And now you’re done with all of the sampling of tasty treats, touring the venues, smelling the flowers and looking at the photo albums.

That’s about it right?  Wait…what about the entertainment?

You almost forgot the entertainment!!  How did that happen?

Why do so many people in this country want to participate in the recession?

What you say? Choose? Yes..choose.  It’s a choice.

This country is run on emotions and most people are sheep.

Think about it…What is any different about what we need  to function today verses 10 years ago?

We still gotta eat, drive, buy clothes, gas etc.   The only thing difference is that certain talking heads are telling us that we are in trouble and what do we do?…We panic.

Tell someone they are bright, beautiful and unique and they will excel with confidence.

Tell them they are worthless and, well, you know…

It’s time for an attitude adjustment people!  Quit being led by the nose and choose not to participate in the recession.

Start your own business or just think of something you’re good at and charge for it.  Sure feels good to be in control of your future rather than being inder the watchful eye of a “boss” wondering if she’ll let you keep your job.
